Coming from a business family, Anusmriti Sarkar never imagined that entertainment would become her career. Her father is a businessman, her mother is a homemaker, and with two younger sisters, she grew up in a completely different environment from the world of cinema. Her journey began with modelling, which she initially took up simply for fun. But what started casually soon opened the doors to a career she genuinely wanted to pursue.
The turning point came when she unexpectedly got the opportunity to make her Bengali film debut with Bhorer Alo, replacing Riya Sen. Playing a double role in the film introduced her to the world of acting and made her realise that this was a path she wanted to take seriously.

Delivered a longside Anupam Kher and other seasoned Actors. She later appeared in Oo Pushpa I Hate Tears with Krushna Abhishek and Jayram Karthik, as well as Hum Tumhe Chahte Hain.
For Anusmriti, every project has been a learning experience. From working with established names such as Prosenjit Chatterjee, Indraneil Sengupta and Victor Banerjee in Bengali cinema to exploring different characters across industries, she believes each experience has contributed to her growth as an actress and as an individual.
Her journey has also brought recognition, including honours such as Most Promising Actress at the International Indian Icon Awards, Mid-Day Showbiz Awards, Midday Bharat Gaurav Sanman Awards and Bright Awards, along with Most Talented Actress at IIIA and Most Admired Actress at Boogle Bollywood Ballistic.
Yet, Anusmriti considers her journey itself to be her biggest achievement. She credits her family, especially her father, for believing in her when she chose a career very different from her family background.
Having started working at just 15, she has learned to embrace patience, rejection and uncertainty while continuing to move forward. Today, she wants to explore more challenging roles, work across industries and reach a wider audience.
Beyond the glamour and social media, Anusmriti describes herself as simple, grounded, emotional and a little dreamy. She believes in staying genuine, continuing to learn and trusting the process.
With several years of experience already behind her and many more stories waiting to be told, Anusmriti Sarkar is looking ahead with one belief her best is yet to come.
